Syeda Fawzia Ally passes away at 83

Syeda Fawzia Ally, a renowned educationist and former Principal of Chittagong College and Badrunnessa College, Dhaka, passed away yesterday at the age of 83.
Daughter of Syed Mustafa Ali, niece of the celebrated writer Syed Mujtaba Ali, and sister of the late S M Ali, founding editor of The Daily Star, she was deeply admired for her contributions to education and society.
She passed away at 4:30 PM on November 25 while in hospice care, surrounded by loved ones. Her Namaz-e-Janaza will be held today, Tuesday, November 26, after Zohr prayers at Azad Masjid in Gulshan. She will be laid to rest at Banani graveyard.
Syeda Fawzia Ally is survived by her only daughter Rahnuma Islam Emma, son-in-law Shafiq, and granddaughter Khushnuma, along with her extended family who mourn her loss. Her family remembers her as a source of strength, wisdom, and love.
