~TWO Vernon Kilns Collector Florida Plates~
    Florida Empire of the Sun
    Florida Silver Springs
~TWO beautiful additions to your collection~
Vernon Kilns was an American ceramic company in Vernon, CA.
It produced ceramic tableware, artware, giftware and figurines.  The
    company closed in 1958.
    Florida Empire of the Sun
Depicts some of Florida highlights by American artist, Orpha Mae Klinker (1891-1964) with her signature on the plate (see photo #5). This
plate, in red and cream colors, measures approximately 10.5" in diameter.  It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, and no scratches.  Colors are vibrant and shows no fading. Inscribed on the back is "
Florida Empire of the Sun by Vernon Kilns, U.S.A."
    Florida Silver Springs
Depicts some of the highlights of Silver Springs with the "South's Most Unique, Colorful Scenic Show".  This plate, in blue and cream colors, measures approximately 10 3/4" in diameter.  It is in great condition with no chips, cracks or scratches.  There is some minor fading of letters, the b of beneath on the back (see photo #8) and a hyphen has faded. Overall, a strong showing.  Description on the back
details Silver Springs and "By Vernon Kilns, U.S.A".
