Vintage 1936 Four Baby Booklets with Caring for Baby Instructions & Birth Memorabilia / Lots of Nice Drawings & Information
These four booklets come from 1936.  I am sure of the date because I know the person to whom they were given.  Two of
them are compliments of Insurance companies and two are instructions on how to prepare for a new baby and
how to take care of the baby after the birth.
The two from insurance companies have beautiful covers with pictures or drawings. One of them has a sweet tassel.
Inside they have pages to be filled in with information about the baby such as announcement data, christening,
suggestions or names for boys and girls, feeding charts, other instructions, etc.  One is compliments of The
National Life and Accident Insurance Company Nashville Tennessee and the other is from Commonwealth Life
Insurance Co Louisville, KY.
They were given to expecting couples to encourage the buying of life insurance for the
baby. They are in good vintage
condition with no writing on the covers or inside.
The other two booklets contain specific instructions for before birth, during birth, and caring for the new baby up
to one year old.  One is called "The Baby" and has 31 pages and an index.  It has a torn corner on the front page.
The other one is missing its cover and has some bent corners.  It has 60 pages and an exhaustive index.  You can tell
it was used quite a bit.  They are very interesting to read and know how babies were taken care of 80+ years
ago.
