This listing is for a
Vernon Kilns centerpiece bowl by designer Jane Bennison.
With its combination of curves and rectangular elements,
its an
attractive
Moderne design that was
made in 2 sizes.  This is the smaller size.  Cobalt glaze, which is very dark and rarely seen on Bennison pieces or Vernon artware in general.  From the estate collection of Bill Stern, founder-director of the Museum of California Design.
DATE:  1930's
DIMENSIONS:  3 3/8" in height by 9 3/4" in length
MARKS:  No visible mark.  The base rim is unglazed ("dry foot")
CONDITION:  Excellent.  No issues of note.
