    Description

    Pair of Vernon Kilns Utah-themed Blue Transferware Collector Plates, c. 1950s
    Lot of two Utah Vernon Kilns collector plates in the harder-to-find blue-on-white colorway.
    One is entitled "Picture Map of Utah", the other is "Scenic Utah: The Beehive State". Each features a design of sites and places in the state of Utah.
    These display well in a plate holder (as shown), or as a wall hanging (in a mount or plate hanger).
    The dimensions of each are 10-3/8" in diameter by 1-1/4" high; the bases are 5-1/2" in diameter.
    These are in excellent original condition, with no chips, cracks, surface scratches or other damage.
    The "Picture Map" plate is marked on the base with the Great Seal of Utah and "Plate designed by Vernon Kilns U.S.A."; the "Scenic Utah" plate is marked on the base with "STATE OF UTAH / 'THE BEEHIVE STATE' / State Flower and Motto / BY VERNON KILNS U.S.A.".
