Description

New J-B Weld, Permatex RTV sealer and gasket maker, thread sealer and epoxy combo pack. This large kit includes most of the sealers, epoxies and thread locker you need to complete a car build.  Not all gasket sealers are the same.  The color of the sealer is typically for a specific fluid or application, although some are multipurpose.  Using the right sealer works properly, using the wrong sealer may cause premature leaks.
This kit includes 14 cards, 1 of each of the ones listed below:
Permatex automatic transmission gasket maker #81180.  For sealing automatic transmissions.  3 oz squeeze tube.  OEM specified. Developed with U.S. automotive OEMs and complies with extended warranty requirements. It resists aging, weathering and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking or cracking. Benefits include improved transmission oil resistance, good adhesion while retaining flexibility, sensor-safe, noncorrosive and can be used as a gasket maker or dressing. Non-flammable, non-toxic, low odor.

Permatex Gasket Maker High Temp Red #81160.  This is high temp red RTV.  This is typically used for high heat areas (up to 650 degrees F) where the components you are sealing are under pressure.  3 oz tube.
Permatex Gasket Maker Gear Oil #81182.  This is gear oil RTV.  This RTV resists friction modifiers, such as the posi/limited-slip additive, to prevent leaks on covers.  We typically use this on differential covers and transfer cases.  3 oz tube.
Permatex Gasket Maker Orange #81422.  This is orange RTV.  This is a general purpose RTV sealer that is oxygen sensor safe.   Typically used to seal intake manifolds and EGR ports to avoid oxygen sensor contamination and failure.  3 oz tube.
Permatex Gasket Maker Ultra Copper #81878.  This is a maxium temperature sealer.  This is sensor safe, and works for applications from 65 deg F to 700 Deg F.  We typically use Copper sealer for sealing exhaust flanges.
Permatex Gasket Maker Ultra Gray #82194.  This is a general purpose RTV sealer that is oxygen sensor safe.  This is for applications with higher torque and vibration requirements.  Typically used to seal intake manifolds and superchargers to avoid oxygen sensor contamination and failure.  3 oz tube.
Permatex Gasket Maker Ultra Black #82180, This is a maxium oil resistance sealer.  This is sensor safe, and works for applications from 65 deg F to 500 Deg F.  We typically use Black sealer for sealing any engine component in contact with engine oil, such as oil pans and valve covers.3 oz tube.
Permatex Gasket Maker Ultra Blue #81724.  This is a multipurpose RTV sealer.  This is sensor safe, and works for applications from 65 deg F to 500 Deg F.  We typically use Blue sealer for sealing water or coolant, such as water pumps and water passages.
Permatex Indian Head Shellac #20539.  Shellac is commonly used to seal engine freeze plugs, cam plugs and frost plugs.  2 oz bottle with applicator.
Permatex valve grinding compound #80036.  Valve grinding compound is used to help valve seal better.  This is typically used on the valve seat and valves, where the valve sealing surfaces are not damaged or nicked, just dirty.  A valve lapper is required (not included), or a method to spin the valve against the head valve seat.  1.5 oz tube does roughly 1 V8 head.
Permatex High Strength Red Gel threadlocker #27005 : This is the red gel, medium strength.  .18 oz squeeze tube.  This is for use on fasteners 3/8" to 1" in thread size, where you do not want the fastener/bolt to loosen on it's own.
Permatex Medium Strength Blue Gel threadlocker #24005 : This is the blue gel, high strength.  .18 oz squeeze tube.  This is for use on fasteners 3/8" to 1" in thread size, where you do not want the fastener/bolt to loosen on it's own.
J-B Weld Original Cold-Weld™ Formula Steel Reinforced Epoxy #8265S :  Works on multiple surfaces, however, we use it exclusively on metal.  This kit includes 2x 1 oz squeeze tubes : 1 oz of steel epoxy, 1 oz of hardener.
Contents need to be mixed, then applied.
This has a cured strength of 3960 PSI.  Takes 4-6 hours to set, 15-25 hours to cure.  550 degree maximum temperature usage when cured, and can also be drilled or tapped when cured.
J-B Weld KwikWeld™ Steel Reinforced Epoxy #8276 :  Works on multiple surfaces, however, we use it exclusively on metal.  This kit includes 2x 1 oz squeeze tubes : 1 oz of steel epoxy, 1 oz of hardener.  Contents need to be mixed, then applied.  This has a cured strength of 2424 PSI.  Takes 6 minutes to set, 4-6 hours to cure.  230 degree maximum temperature usage when cured, and can also be drilled or tapped when cured.
